The Seniors Outreach Network Society mission is to provide continued support, which includes information, referrals, advocacy, and social interaction, to seniors and their families.
Services are available to seniors residing in Edmonton’s north side and are targeted to those seniors who are isolated and receive low incomes. With the invitation of the senior, in home visits to assess seniors’ needs are made by Registered Social Workers. Our clients enjoy a once a month hot lunch and other opportunities to socialize in a safe environment.
We Believe
· in respecting all seniors · seniors should be free to make their own life choices · in creating a safe environment and maintaining confidentiality · inability to pay should not be a barrier to services · each senior has an opportunity to grow · volunteers are the backbone of our agency.
Volunteer opportunities include providing transportation to enable a senior to purchase groceries and access medical appointments, and/or to assist with transportation to our annual picnic and low cost day-trips to the countryside. | |
