Become an ESCC Member

 WHO CAN BECOME AN ESCC MEMBER?
 
Regular membership in ESCC may be held by not-for-profit senior-serving organizations incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act or Part 9, Companies Act.
  • “Senior-serving organizations” are groups that provide social and recreational programs and/or social support services for Edmonton ’s aging population.

Associate membership is available for individuals or other organizations that have an interest in the delivery of services to seniors. This includes organizations that are located outside of Edmonton.
 
BENEFITS OF ESCC TO THE WIDER COMMUNITY:

By belonging to the ESCC you are bringing forward the issues of your senior clients in the interest of raising awareness at a broader level so the sector can seek solutions together.

Your organization has input on sector initiatives.

Your organization becomes part of the larger whole and there is strength in numbers.

You would be amongst agencies and individuals collaborating to improve services for seniors.

You would benefit from information/resources and professional development opportunities provided by ESCC.

The ESCC:

  • Assists member organizations in identifying and addressing gaps in service for seniors
  • Assists in identifying service overlaps and/or duplication in order to make more effective use of resources
  • Increases the awareness among seniors of the services available for their assistance and well-being
  • Identifies key seniors’ issues and developing opportunities for member organizations to address these issues to improve quality of life for older adults.
