Description

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association – Edmonton Branch (CHHA-Ed) is affiliated with a national group and is a non-profit support and information group for individuals with a hearing loss, their family, friends, and coworkers. CHHA-Ed advocates for the needs of individuals with hearing loss and is proud to have been instrumental in promoting the installation of assistive listening systems in select live theatres and accessible phones in public facilities, and has also raised funds to assist with installation of Rear Window Caption in the Telus Science Centre IMAX theatre. Our organization provides information to the general public on hearing loss and how to communicate with individuals with hearing loss.

Our mission is to build public awareness and remove barriers for the hard of hearing in the Edmonton region by providing support, advocacy and programs. Our vision is for full inclusion for the hard of hearing.
